The civil war, which began on 15 April 2023, has witnessed extensive international crimes perpetrated by both the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with many countries and organizations specifically highlighting the RSF for engaging in ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. SAF personnel have also been accused of killing civilians, based on ethnicity or connections to the RSF. Our programmes in Sudan will aim at collaborating with all Sudanese, national, and international organizations to foster a comprehensive strategy for transitional justice that addresses the conflict’s root causes, ensures criminal accountability for perpetrators, and provides assistance for survivors through a survivor-centered approach. We are currently organizing our programs and activities, after which more information will be provided on the website.
