Access to Justice
JAW firmly believes that human rights are intrinsic to all individuals based on their humanity and should be safeguarded by states, rather than being conferred by them.
JAW emphasizes the importance of justice in safeguarding the rights and dignity of various vulnerable groups, such as women, children, youth, migrants, ethnic minorities, and sexual minorities who frequently encounter barriers in obtaining access to justice.
Empowering these individuals and communities to seek justice and implementing efficient delivery mechanisms are integral considerations in our endeavors.
In order to guarantee equitable access to justice and promote fair outcomes, JAW engages in strategic partnerships with both state and non-state justice actors, such as legal aid providers, civil society organizations, individual advocates, and lawyers, to enhance the capacity of the judicial sector and suppzort/advocate for innovative grassroots legal empowerment initiatives for people in challenging conditions.
